1837 Company established by Edward Manlove and Alexander Alliott who were drapers by trade.

c.1845 With Johann Gotlob Seyrig they set up a bleaching company and developed a centrifugal drying machine as the Centrifugal Company in Nottingham.

Initially they were based in Lenton, Nottingham but when expansion was necessary they opened their Bloomsgrove Works on Ilkeston Road in Radford, Nottingham.

1860 Partnership change. '... the Partnership carried on between us the undersigned, Edward Manlove, Alexander Alliott, and Johann Gotlob Seyrig, at Bloomsgrove, in the county of Nottingham, as Engineers, was dissolved, so far as regards the said Johann Gotlob Seyrig...'

1864 "NOTICE is hereby given, that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us the undersigned, Edward Manlove, Alexander Alliott, Simeon Manlove, and John Livesey, trading at Radford, in the county of Nottingham, and at the town of Nottingham, as Lace Manufacturers, was this day dissolved, as far as regards the said Simeon Manlove and John Livesey, by mutual consent; and that all debts due to or owing by the said late firm will be received and paid by the said Edward Manlove and Alexander Alliott..
