Mark Heaton Robinson (1844-1923), engineer of Thames Ditton, later of Rugby. Chairman of Willans and Robinson.

1844 March 29th. Born on the Isle of Sheppey, the son of Edward Robinson, Royal Navy, and his wife Amelia

1851 Living at Crown Crescent, Twickenham: Edward Robinson (age 57 born Chigwell), Lieut. Royal Navy. With his wife Amelia Robinson (age 40 born Richmond) and their son Mark Heaton Robinson (age 7 born Sheppey). One servant.[1]

1861-74 Administrative branch of the Admiralty

1874-80 Manager of Watney's brewery, Pimlico

Had a private workshop for the manufacture of boat-disengaging apparatus of his own design, which was the pattern used for some years by the Royal Navy

1881 Joined P. W. Willans in partnership as Willans and Robinson, engineers and steam launch builders.
