To Richard Theiler and Meinrad Theiler, both of No. 86, Canonbury-road, Islington, in the county of Middlesex, Telegraph Engineers, for the invention of "improvements in electric telegraphs, part of these improvements being applicable in all apparatus where electro-magnets are employed."'[2]

To Richard Theiler and Meinrad Theiler, both of 86, Canonbury-road, in the county of Middlesex, Telegraph Engineers, for the invention of "an improved method and apparatus for preparing, holding, stamping, registering, and issuing of tickets for use on omnibuses and tramcars, or wherever such tickets are issued."'[5]

To Richard Theiler, of 86, Canonbury road, in the county of Middlesex, John Edward Wright, of 17, Leadenhall-st., in the city of London, and Meinrad Theiler, of Axenstein Villa, Canonbury-park North, in the county of Middlesex, for the invention of "improvements in telegraphs, part of such improvements being also applicable to other electrical apparatus."'[6]
1881 Living at 24 Canonbury Park N.: Meinrad Theiler (age 36 born Switzerland), a Telegraph Engineer. With his wife Margueritte Theiler (age 34 born Switzerland) and their children Marguerite Theiler (age 7 born London), Adeline Theiler (age 5 born London), and Mathilda Theiler (age 4 born Switzerland). Also his mother Mumrada Theiler (age 63 born Switzerland), a widow; and his brother Ferdinand Theiler (age 29 born Switzerland), a musician. Also a servant Katherina Theiler (age 23 born Germany). One other servant.[7]
1883 Sold his shares to his brother Richard and returned to Switzerland
