1927 Mitcham Motor Co., of Hackbridge, Surrey, purchased its first Thornycroft petrol-engined vehicles. One of the activities of the company was transport of Cable-drums

1933 Purchased its first diesel-engined vehicle, the Thornycroft Mastiff rigid six-wheeled 8-tonner and further vehicles were purchased in 1935.[1]

1947 Haulage contractors; acquired by Hackbridge Cable Co[2]
