1909 The Motor Mart and Institute Limited was incorporated as a private company, with capital of £5,000, to carry on the business of proprietors of motor cabs, carriages, vans, lorries, and other public or private conveyances of all descriptions.[1] The Motor Brougham and Cab Company Limited, of 219 St. Vincent Street, Glasgow, was incorporated as a private company, with capital of £10,000, to acquire the business carried on by the Motor Mart and Institute Limited at 17 Smith Street, Hillhead, Glasgow.[2]

1914 The Motor Mart and Institute Limited was struck off and dissolved.[3]
