1896 Dissolution of the Partnership between John Brotherton and Francis Simms carrying on business as Tube Manufacturers at the Excelsior Works, Commercial-road Wolverhampton under the style or firm of John Brotherton and Co.[1]

1897 The company was registered on 5 April, to take over the business of Brothertons Tube Co. [2]
