PRELIMINARY ANNOUNCEMENT. TO IRONMASTERS, IRONFOUNDERS, AND ENGINEERS. MR. DANKS has received instructions from Mr. Shipton of Oak Farm Foundry, near Dudley, to OFFER his FOUNDRY and ENGINEERING STOCK for SALE by AUCTION, in the courseof a few weeks, of which due notice will be given.
The Stock will be removed for convenience of sale to Swan Garden Wharf, Horseley Fields, Wolverhampton.
The Stock comprises two 38-inch cylinders and bottoms, bored, one air pump, bored foot-box and condenser, sundry castings for ditto, 12-horse engine castings, two 4-feet 6-inch fans, two 19-feet lathe beds, suitable for 15-inch headstocks, large boring plates, lot of 13-inch shell patterns, core-boxes, large quantity of smiths' bellows, upwards of 100 tons of moulding boxes and foundry effects. The moulding boxes are all made of cold-blast iron.'[1]
