1928 On the re-organisation of the firm Mr Davis became managing director.

1930 Mr. S. J. Davis, Managing Director of Messrs. Padmore and Barnes, Ltd., Northampton.[1]

1934 'The erection of the new boot factory Kilkenny the firm of Padmore and Barnes (Ireland), Ltd., is now nearing completion and it is expected that manufacturing will begin shortly. The greater part of the capital of the company has been Subscribed locally, one of the directors being Mr. J. P. Hawe, Borough Treasurer, Kilkenny. Three of the Northampton directors — Messrs. H. J Davis, C. H. Walker and W. H. Irons - inspected the building, accompanied the firm’s engineer, and expressed satisfaction the progress made.'[2]

1940 Patent - Improvements in and relating to bootees, shoes, slippers and like articles of footwear. [3]

1947 Listed Exhibitor - British Industries Fair. Manufacturers of Mens', Womens' High Grade Welted and Cement Walking, Sports and Spectator Sports Shoes. Also Boys' Shoes. "Moccasin" and "Victor" Women's Brands and "Movamet" Fitting Metatarsal Support Shoes for Men and Women. (Earls Court, 1st Floor, Stand No. 416) [4]
