1878 The company was registered on 30 May. [1]

1908 The Taff Vale Railway company promoted a bill to allow a large new pontoon to be built at Penarth Docks; this worried the Cardiff dry dock operators so much that a clause was inserted in the bill that the Taff Vale Co would continue to give all reasonable facilities to other shipbuilding and repairing firms for surveys and repairs at Penarth[2]

1909 Name changed (presumably) to Penarth Pontoon, Slipway and Ship Repairing Co
