PETRONIUS HODGES died at Sheffield in January 1908.
He served his apprenticeship in the Locomotive Department of the Great Northern Railway Co. at Peterborough and Doncaster, and in 1866 he joined the firm of Cammell, Laird & Co., and was appointed manager of their Penistone works. He subsequently became one of the chief officials of the firm at the Sheffield works, retiring in 1904.
He was elected a member of the Iron and Steel Institute in 1884, and was a member of the Reception Committee at Sheffield in 1905.
