The obituary of the half year also includes the names of Sir HOWARD VINCENT, K.C.M.G., C.B., who was an active member of the Sheffield Reception Committee in 1906, and frequently attended meetings of the Institute; of ALFRED HABETS, the eminent professor of mining at Liege, who took an active part in the reception of the Institute at Li4ge in 1873 and at Brussels in 1894; and of F.
