1861 Residing at 2 Royal Terrace, Northampton: Moses P. Manfield (age 41 born Bristol), Shoe Manufacturer. With his wife Margaret, sons Harry Manfield (age 6 born Northampton) and James Manfield (age 4 born Northampton); and one daughter.[1]

1899 Died. 'Sir Philip Manfield died at 5.30 Tuesday afternoon at his residence at Northampton. Sir Philip Manfield, who was knighted in 1894, was head of an important shoe manufacturing firm, and had been resident in Northampton for nearly sixty years. On the death of Mr Charles Bradlaugh. Sir Philip entered Parliament, and afterwards became Mayor of Northampton, and was made Justice of the Peace. Only on Wednesday last. his 80th birthday, at a largely attended meeting, he was presented with his portrait in oils in recognition of political, and philanthropic servies. Lady Manfield died earlier in the month.'[2]
