We record with regret the death of Mr. Phillip T. Ward, which occurred on April 29th, in Sheffield, following a long illness, at the early age of thirty-five.

Mr. Ward, who was the son of Mr. Ashley S. Ward, was a director of Thos. W. Ward, Ltd., which he joined in 1937.

He was also a director of Birchley Rolling Mills, Ltd., Darlington Railway Plant and Foundry Company, Ltd., and John Williams (Wishaw), Ltd.

For the greater part of the second world war Mr. Ward served with R.A.F. Fighter Command.
