Formed in 1964 by Phillips Petroleum Co and ICI[1], joint owners.

1965 The Mechanical Design and Installation division of Tarmac was engaged in the design of a new refinery for Phillips Imperial Petroleum on the River Tees[2]

2000 Acquired by Petroplus International BV Group.
