1971 Company incorporated to acquire Liver-Simpson (Galvanizers), Metaltreat, Manchester Galvanizing[1] and Burnell Galvanizing[2]. RTZ Pillar Group to own 60 percent of Pillar-Wedge; B. E. Wedge Holdings would own 9 percent; Matthew Swain would own 10 percent; individual shareholders own 21 percent.

1982 Renamed Pillar-Wedge Group

1996 Caradon sold its engineering businesses including Pillar-Wedge[3]. By 1997 Pillar-Wedge was a subsidiary of B. E. Wedge Holdings[4]
