Portpatrick and Wigtownshire Joint Railway

From Graces Guide

Effective in 1885 this was a union of the Portpatrick Railway and the Wigtownshire Railway. [1]

1885 As from August the undertakings of the company were transferred to the London and North Western Railway, the Midland Railway, the Caledonian Railway and Glasgow and South Western Railway Companies. [2]

1889 Engineer is James Adam.[3]

1923 Became part of London, Midland and Scottish Railway. [4]
