1850 Partnership between Robert Heath, William Welch and John Heath Barber, carrying on business at the Ravensdale Iron Works, Tunstall, was dissolved [1]

1875 The Ravensdale Works belonged to Robert Heath and Sons; the works had 54 puddling furnaces and eight rolling mills. Mr Heath had erected ten of the Danks-type rotary puddling furnaces at the works and had good experience with the novel concept[2]
