'Sir Reginald Townsend, of the Highway, Sutton, Surrey, Director of Ordance Factories, Department of the Director-General Munitions Productions, formerly a chartered accountant in Birmingham, and past president of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants, who died on October 30, aged 56 years, son of the late Mr. George Townsend, of Hunt End, Redditch, left gross estate of the value of £8,185....'[1]
