1949 Name changed from General Gas and Electricity Co to Reliance-Clifton Cables and Industrial Products[2] (in anticipation of the nationalisation of the company's gas interests).
1953 Announcement of expected removal by the government of restrictions on copper led to a temporary drop in orders[3]
1957 Factories at present under construction on the Carnmoney estate are to be occupied by a new subsidiary company of Reliance-Clifton Cables and Industrial Products. Ltd. of Lepton (sic), London.[4]
1969 Acquired by British Insulated Callender's Cables Ltd[5]
