Born at The Strand, London, the son of Richard Twining

1861 Residing at 11 Taviton Street, St. Pancras: Richard Twining (age 53 born St. Clement danes), banker and tea Dealer. with his wife Hannah and four daughters. Also his son-in-law Henry W. Tweed (age 37 born Romford), Vicar of Bridstow Cross.[1]

1906 March 26th. Died. 'The death took place at his residence, The Nook, (of Bitteswell, Lutterworth, Leics.) on Sunday night, of Mr. Richard Twining. The deceased reached the remarkable age of 98 years in October last, and had only kept his bed for a few months past, he baying attended church and driven out regularly in his carriage np to April of last year. He was head of the firm of R. Twining and Co., tea and coffee merchants, Strand, W C., and was well known in banking and other commercial enterprises in the city. He was much respected by all in the village, where be had long proved a friend to the poor. '[2]
