1895 Conversion of James Miller and Co into the Rivet, Bolt and Nut Co and the transference of the works to Coatbridge[1].

1900 The company was registered on 22 November, to acquire the businesses of several companies and firms engaged in the manufacture of rivets, bolts and nuts[2] Included - John Bilsland and Co, Clyde Iron Co, Clyde Rivet Works Co, Edward Crosher, William Crosher and Co, Walter Donald and Co, Dundee Rivet Works Co, Hunter, Hardin and Wilson, James Kennedy, James Miller and Co, Macfarlane Brothers, Alexander Pillans, James Rose and Sons, James Smith and Co, and the Sunnyside Rivet Co.[3]

1960 Acton Bolt acquired The Rivet, Bolt and Nut Co[4].

1962 GKN acquired Acton Bolt[5].

1966 Rivet, Bolt and Nut Division of GKN, of Coatbridge, Lanarkshire[6].
