1872 Robert Morton & Co of Stockton on Tees. Single cylinder steam engine at the Mann, Crossman and Paulin Brewery, Bethnal Green. This engine worked in conjunction with an engine by Kittoe and Brotherhood[1]

Note: 1931 'Mr. Philip Robinson, one of the best known brewry engineers in the country, and until recently governing director of Messrs. Robert Morton and Co., Ltd., Burton-on-Trent, died at his residence, Park Hill, near Burton, on Sunday night at the age of 77. Mr. Robinson went to Burton from Stockton-on-Tees 50 years ago, and by foresight and energy developed the firm to its present extent.[2]
