Robert Stephenson and Co: Shipbuilding

1898 A fourth steamer, Victorious, was built for Macintyre Brothers and Co[1]
The company built a variety of vessels ranging from well-deckers, tramps and a Great Lakes Steamer, Beaverton, which was one of the last ships built at the yard.
1901 Completed a large floating dock for the Spanish Government
1911 The yard closed: it had seven small berths which were leased by Palmers, in 1911, who then bought the berths outright in 1912.
In all 120 ships had been built on the Tyne under the Stephenson name.
