1860 Business established as a private firm[1]

1895 Robertson and Baxter was registered, with a capital of £250,000, to take over the business of wine and spirit brokers and agents carried on at 48 West Nile Street, Glasgow and 12 Quality Street, Leith, by Robertson and Baxter.[2]

1914 Business confined to the Wholesale Trade in the United Kingdom. The Company acted as Agents for foreign Brandy, Wine and Rum.

1965 The company was part of the Edrington Group; acquired Lang Brothers Limited,

By 1990s was the largest, independent Scotch Whisky blending house; supplied Cutty Sark Whisky blend to Berry Brothers and Co, owners of that brand.[3]
