1960 Company incorporated, a subsidiary of GKN, to bring together the motor bumper pressing activities of Joseph Sankey and Sons and the bumper plating, polishing and assembly activities of Ionic Plating Co.[1]

The factory of Ionic Plating Co at Dudley for polishing and plating car bumpers was transferred to a new group company, Sankey Plated Pressings Ltd[2]

1967 Flora Stove and Hardware Co was transferred to the company.
