Scott Lithgow was a British shipbuilding company
Formed in 1967 by the merger of Scotts Shipbuilding and Engineering Co and Lithgows. Scott Lithgow was based in Port Glasgow and Greenock on the lower Clyde in Scotland.
1977 Scott Lithgow was nationalised into British Shipbuilders.
1981 Reorganisation of British Shipbuilders saw all assets passing back to Scott Lithgow
1984 The Trafalgar House consortium bought the company. After privatisation, the business focussed on fabrication for the oil industry, but operations ceased in 2003. It exists today as a management holding company.
