1899 Incorporated as the Shields Engineering and Dry Dock Company Limited

Engineers and ship repairers, specialising in the repair of trawlers, drifters, lightships and other small vessels. There was one dry dock of 182 ft.

1955 Assets acquired and merged with the ship repairing operation of the neighbouring business of Smith's Dock Company Limited

1955 Voluntary liquidation
