Simms-Bosch

Maker of magnetos
1899 Frederick Simms established a joint company with Robert Bosch, Compagnie des Magnetos Simms-Bosch, to make magnetos to Bosch's design; Simms played a significant role in magneto development, through his stimulus to Bosch and his colleagues to develop their product, and by opening up the important French market for Bosch.
1906 The company was closed because of personal differences between the principals.
1907 J. D. Siddeley noted that a new low tension magneto system was displayed by the Simms-Bosch company at an exhibition in Paris[1]
