Southfields Stick Mills
1907 New company. This company has just been registered with a capital of £1,500 in £1 shares, to take over the business of stick and umbrella stick manufacturers, timber merchants, wood turners and workers, carried on Southfields Mill, Woodchester, Gloucestershire, and to carry on the same and the business of sawmill proprietors, timber growers, box and packing case makers, etc. The subscriptions are Shares. J. Rowell, Lynfield, Stroud, managing clerk; Mrs. H. Rowell, Lynfield, Stroud; R. K. Rowell, Lynfield, Stroud, civil servant; Miss H. L. Rowell, Lynfield. Stroud; W. M. Beard, Rooksmoor near Stroud, stick manufacturer; W. M. Beard, Rooksmoor, near Stroud, stick stickworker; Miss G. A. Beard, Rooksmoor, near Stroud, No initial public issue. Registered without articles of association. The first directors are J. Rowell and W. M. Beard. Registered Office: Southfield Mill, Woodchester.[1]
