1978 After the parent company of D. Meredew went into receivership due to debts of associated companies, especially guarantees for other companies in the Bond Worth group, a new company, Meredew Furniture, was formed to take over the Letchworth factory[1] which was then taken over by Stag Furniture Holdings[2]

1985 Yatton Distributors Ltd was renamed Stag Meredew Furniture Ltd

1992 Stag was acquired by Spring Ram Corporation, kitchen and bathroom equipment maker.

1993 Stag Meredew Furniture Ltd was re-registered as public company Stag Furniture PLC, part of the Stag Group
