1955 Five companies founded Tufted Carpets Ltd[1] whose products would be sold as Kosset Carpets[2] - the companies were Carpet Manufacturing Co, John Crossley-Carpet Trade Holdings, Brintons, James Templeton, T. Bond Worth[3]
1959 Company's shares started trading on the Stock Exchange
1964 Acquired Jelleyman, a private company of Kidderminster[4] and Thomas Taylor and Brother[5] which would allow expansion in tufted carpets.
By 1965, Thomas Bond Worth had ended its association with Kosset[6]
1966 Maker of Axminster and Wilton carptes. Much expanded tufted carpet plant opened at Wigan[7]
1968 Acquired Rivington Carpets, a maker of tufted carpets, from William Baird[8]. Took over Gainsborough Distributors, wholesale distributor of floor coverings[9]
Group name changed to Bond Worth Holdings, reflecting major expansion of the company.
1969 Acquired Prospect Manufacturing of Blackburn; acquired D. Meredew, which owned Kandya, maker of kitchen furniture[10]
1970 Substantial losses due to problems in a division, delay in new warehouse and general turn down in trading[11]
1971 Returned to profit; supplied about 20 percent of the UK floor covering market[12]
1974 Acquired Moderna (Witney) Ltd maker of blankets[13]
1976 Had developed Bondax, a new carpet making machine[14]. Disposed of Moderna with consequent charge to the balance sheet; cut back Rivington Carpets low end activities in tufted carpets[15]
1978 Injection of capital but the company went into receivership[16]
