1833 The Staines and Egham Gas Light & Coke Co. was set up as a non-statutory Company.
The works were situated on the Causeway of the River Thames
1871 The company changed its name to the Staines and Egham District Gas & Coke Co. and gained statutory powers.
1887 The works were extended
1908 Directors: J. Coppen (Chairman), G. Ennis, C. F. Leake, F. Merrick, J. Reeson, and H. Weller. Manager : W. Fielden. Secretary; G. H. Sayers.
1913 Further land was purchased and a new works built in 1913.
1915 The company was taken over by Brentford Gas Co.
1926 Gas Light and Coke Co. acquired the Brentford.
1955 The manufacturing works was finally closed and dismantled a year later. The site remained as a holder station.
