SYDNEY ALBERT EVERETT, born on the 12th August, 1869, died in North China on the 15th January, 1913.

He gained practical experience of mining under W. D. Wight, of Cory Brothers, Limited, and subsequently took charge of the Gedling Collieries, Nottingham, and carried out other mining work in the Cardiff district.

In 1911 he undertook mining operations for the Peking Syndicate in Honan, where he met his death.

Mr. Everett was elected an Associate Member of The Institution on the 4th April, 1905.
