Thomas Middleton (Essex)

of Warners Burnham, Essex.

Born in 1819 in Warmfield, Yorkshire.

Middleton was connected with the Midland Railway from Oakenshaw to Mosbrough, 1841.

He was in charge of the construction of the Birkenhead Docks, 1850, Swansea Docks, 1854 and the first dock at Silloth 1857.

Middleton carried out work on the lines of the North Eastern Railway.

Died 1891 aged 72 after accident on Great Eastern Railway line. [1]
