1852 Built the 'Bergen', the first steamship of the Bergen Steamship Co (Det Bergenske Dampskibsselskab). Length 186 ft (57m). Model on display at Bergen Maritime Museum (see photo).
1853 Mention of Thomas Toward, builder of a screw steamer 'Ivanhoe'.[1]
