By 1873 Thomas Vaughan and Co had taken over from Garbutt, when they were reported to have 36 puddling furnaces and two forges.
Acquired the Southbank ironworks from Major Elwon
By 1878 the company was out of business, at which time it was claimed that the sheds had fallen in.
1879 The Southbank Works were taken over by Bolckow, Vaughan and Co[1]
By 1893 the Clay Lane Iron works were owned by the Clay Lane Iron Co.
