1962 Trinidad Central Oil Fields was renamed Trinidad Canadian Oils[1]; Tricentrol Oils Ltd was a subsidiary.

1972 Trinidad Canadian Oils Ltd changed its name to Tricentrol and immediately started on an acquisition spree, buying into garden supplies and builders merchants,[4] in addition to its oil and gas interests.
1972 Tricentrol acquired Watsons (Great Yarmouth)[5], car dealers.
1973 Acquired R. Ronaldson and Co which became part of Tricentrol Builders Merchants Ltd
1973 Acquisition of coach companies to add to the Tricentrol Travel Group's own fleet[6]
1974 Tricentrol Engineering of Milton Keynes invested in a fuel saving device for i.c. engines[7]
1975 Tricentrol North Sea Ltd was incorporated
c.1979 Acquired Brown and White (Leeds), garage proprietors; name changed to Tricentrol Cars (Leeds) Ltd

Tricom Supplies was acquired by Walter Lawrence, builders, and in 1991 sold again to Mannesman Holdings UK.[8]
