1954 Sankey-Sheldon established a new division for marketing Unistrut metal framing[1] which allowed rapid on-site construction.

1969 Unistrut was of 43 Broadwater Road, Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire.

1971 GKN Sankey formed the Sankey Sheldon Unistrut Division at Hadley Castle Works to improve office furniture and equipment marketing[2]

1974 GTE-Unistrut Ltd was incorporated

1986 Renamed Unistrut (UK) Ltd of Bedford
