W. C. Miller and Son
1863 Built a wooden, screw-propelled vessel, of about 450 to 600 tons on the plan of the American coasters, being nearly flat bottomed. She was built for fast sailing under canvas, and under steam was expected to achieve a speed of 15 knots. She was to be armed with 9-pounder guns. Expected to be ready for sea by May 1863.
1864 Built PS Lelia for the American Confederate forces as a blockade runner; steel frames and plating were used to reduce weight.
