Warrenpoint Shipyard Co

Warrenpoint, County Down

Originally operated by the Dublin firm of Smith and Pearson, the shipyard was established by the Admiralty during the Second World War for the building of tank landing craft. After it was de-requisitioned, the yard was briefly occupied by the Norwegian Storship Trading Co for the conversion of landing craft into oil tankers.

1948 The yard was closed and all the equipment was sold.[1]
