1892 Established. 'Mr. Arthur White, ... until recently the senior partner of the firm of W. White and Sons, Vectis Works, Cowes, and Director of the Cowes Gas Company, went to Woolston a short time since, and although not taking any active part in the management of the firm’s affairs, assisted very materially in the establishment of a yacht-building business at Itchen Ferry, where his presence will be greatly missed by the workmen of Messrs. White Bros.’ Yard, and the yacht captains about the place. [1]
