Whitehead, Thomas Bar and Strip Company, Redbourn Works, Scunthorpe
1933 Richard Thomas and Co made an agreement with Whitehead Iron and Steel Co to supply billets from Redbourn works at Scunthorpe to that company's Newport rolling mills; Mr L D Whitehead to join the Richard Thomas and Co board[1].
1933 Jointly-owned company formed by Whitehead Iron and Steel Co and Richard Thomas and Co[2] to operate a finishing mill at Redbourn, which was equipped by transferring the semi-continous mill from Whitehead's Tredegar works[3]
1951 Nationalised under the Iron and Steel Act; became part of the Iron and Steel Corporation of Great Britain[4]
