WILFRID HOCART BISHOP, born at St. Peter Port, Guernsey, in 1877, died there on the 30th April, 1915.
After serving a pupilage to Mr. A. T. Walmisley, M. Inst. C.E., he became an assistant to Mr. David Gravell, M. Inst. C.E., and subsequently served on the staffs of the Metropolitan and the South-Eastern and Chatham Railways.
In 1902 he was appointed to the staff of the Sudan Government Railway, and was employed on the construction of the Suakim line and Khartum station until 1910, when he became Agent at Alexandria, resigning later on account of ill-health.
Mr. Bishop was elected an Associate Member on the 12th January, 1904.
