William Jowlings

From Graces Guide

William Jowlings (c1817-1874) of John Edward Barnard and Co and Roberts, Jowlings and Co

1851 GWR Railway accident between Tetbury and Stroud. Amongst those who were injured by this mishap were Mr. William Barnard, of Stroud, and Mr. William Jowlings, (of the firm of J. E. Barnard and Co.) of the same place. The former fortunately escaped with a few bruises, and was enabled to complete his journey; the latter was sadly cut about the face, and dislocated his elbow ; and although we are glad to find he is proceeding favourably, he must for some time be a sufferer from this most untoward accident.'[1]

1874 July 09th. Died, of Rodborough, age 57.[2]
