We regret to announce that Mr. William Marter Burne Furniss, managing director of the Electric Construction Company, Ltd., Wolverhampton, died at his home, The Croft, Sandyfields, Sedgley, Worcs, on November 8th.

He was the elder surviving son of Mr. William Marter Furniss, who was chairman and managing director of the company until his retirement last year at the age of eighty-three.

Mr. W. M. B. Furniss joined the company in May, 1925, and became sales engineer in 1929. He was appointed assistant manager in 1941 and subsequently he held the positions of general manager, director and manager, and assistant managing director before being appointed managing director in January last.
