1935 Company formed to take over Thomas Fildes and Range Metalworkers (Stalybridge). Chairman and MD is T. R. Fildes. Manufacturer of copper boilers, hot-water tanks and cylinders etc.[1]
1939 Range Boilers was a Subcontractor (one of 200, producing Hydraulic tubes and Tungum pipes) to Vickers-Armstrongs and the production of the Spitfire aircraft
1961 Manufacturers of non-ferrous steel metal goods, copper boilers, hot water tanks, cylinders and all types of domestic water heating apparatus. 450 employees. [2]
1965 Acquired by Imperial Metal Industries.
Maker of copper hot water tanks and cylinders for the building industry.
1969 Part of the IMI Group.
