1907 Lancashire Steam Motor Co changed its name to Leyland Motors

1923 Appointed deputy MD

1944-45 President of the SMMT

1957 Retired as chairman of Leyland Motors on his 80th birthday

1962 Retired as director of Leyland Motors

1970 7th July. Died aged 93 years.[2]
