Paper, packaging and printing, and cycles.

1986 Elswick-Hopper plc became Elswick plc, ending a 106 year association with the Hopper name.

1987 Elswick plc was steered away from agriculture towards the packaging industry. By this time Falcon had absorbed the Holdsworth and Claud Butler marques through the purchase of Holdsworthy.

1988 Elswick-Falcon became Bomford Turner Ltd[1]

1991 Falcon was sold to Casket plc

1993 Bomford and Evershed, of Evesham, became Bomford Turner Ltd[2], grass-cutting machinery, which was then sold to Alamo of Texas[3]

1994 Making a loss; had focussed on specialised print and packaging and sale of agro-chemicals[4]; acquired by Ferguson International Holdings.

The excesses of the 1990s saw a series of financial deals take place, eventually resulting in the formal dissolution of Elswick plc in 2001.
