1987 Gilbert Gilkes and Gordon were manufacturers of water turbines. marine pumps, fuel and lubrication systems for the thermal power industry and training equipment for engineering education.[2]
2022 Trading as Gilkes and Gilkes Energy, still based at Canal Head, Kendal, producing pumps, water turbines, and associated equipment.
