JOSEPH CLAYTON, whose death occurred on 17th August 1945, was the chairman and managing director of Messrs. Clayton, Son and Company, gas and constructional engineers, of Leeds, and had been identified with that firm during the whole of his long professional career, including his apprenticeship from 1885 to 1891.
